Reporting is an important control to exercise throughout the processing timeline and will provide all the information necessary to manage the project. A variety of reports may be maintained throughout.

Media analysis reports/catalogs: These generally include information regarding the number of files within a given piece of media, the type of files contained therein and the size of the data; they may also include directory lists of the file names. Because they can provide insight on how much data requires processing, these reports can guide cost and delivery schedule estimations.
