Canadian software maker Open Text Corp. said Monday it closed its $489 million acquisition of smaller rival Hummingbird Ltd.
Open Text, based in Waterloo, Ontario, was a minority shareholder in Hummingbird and bought the remaining interest for $489 million, or $27.85 per share, through a subsidiary.
