It is with mixed emotions that I write today, bloodied from my ultimate battle with the evil Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 continuous-speech voice-recognition system. I entered its lair with trepidation, after having been repelled in a previous attempt.

My previous weapon was a 1.1 Gigahertz Dell X1 ultralight computer. The Dragon laughed at me and my puny sword, beating me back with the evil “You do not have a powerful enough processor” error message.
