Behavioral security software startup Sana Security Inc. hired a new CEO and closed a $12 million Series E round of venture funding to expand sales of its network intrusion technology.

The new funding gives the San Mateo, Calif.-based company roughly $40 million in total venture funding, according to new CEO Don Listwin. Former CEO John Zicker will remain with the company, moving into the position of president, where he will continue to run day-to-day operations.
