Internet legal service startup Avvo Inc. raised $10 million in a second round of venture capital led by Bellevue, Wash.-based Ignition Partners and including first-round backer Benchmark Capital of Menlo Park, Calif.
The deal, announced Thursday moves the 15-month-old company a step closer to a summer launch, though founders are still tight-lipped about what the Web site will feature. Former Expedia Inc. executive vice president Mark Britton founded Avvo, helping spin off the travel Web site from Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft Corp.
