Former Linklaters chief marketing officer Frank Mellish will not oppose the injunction obtained against him last week by Linklaters, a court heard this morning.
Justice Warby, who oversaw the High Court hearing, said that Mellish "is not consenting" to the injunction but will not oppose it, following discussions with Mellish's lawyers in Australia.
Linklaters was last week granted a temporary injunction against former executive committee member Mellish, after he threatened to release a cache of 11 documents that would reveal the "ongoing struggle Linklaters has with women in the workplace".
The latest update means the injunction will last until at least 22 February, 2019, when a return date for another hearing has been scheduled for.
Mellish was formerly the director of business development and marketing, and according to his LinkedIn profile, had been at the firm since April 2017.
According to the court's summary last week, Mellish was given six months' notice in June 2018 that his contract would be terminated, and would be paid his "contractual entitlements" as well as an ex-gratia "substantial additional sum".
The case continues.
