Ford Motor Co. may be on the hook for selling people “a pig in the poke” when they purchased a Ford Focus, a federal court of appeals panel said in a decision on Wednesday.

It’s a welcome win for consumers—not just the people who got stuck buying new tires after a mere 20,000 miles because of an alleged rear suspension defect, but for everyone who expects manufacturers to fully honor their warranties.
