Amidst rumors of an impending White House staff shakeup, there's a new name on the potential hit list: White House Counsel Donald McGahn.

It might not be such a bad idea.

So much of what's gone wrong in the Trump administration—which now faces an investigation by newly appointed special counsel Robert Mueller III—might have been prevented by some good lawyering up front. The hiring—and belated firing—of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The Comey dismissal and questions about obstruction of justice. The travel ban. The tweets.
