Our Litigator of the Week is Steptoe & Johnson partner Susan Esserman, who led a coalition that included PepsiCo and Reynolds Consumer Products to victory in a high-stakes trade fight at the International Trade Commission.

Esserman, a former Deputy US Trade Representative who heads Steptoe’s international trade policy practice, won a rare negative determination from the ITC. On Oct. 18, the ITC commissioners voted 5-0 against imposing antidumping duties on the import of widely-used PET resin from Brazil, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan.
