Give up the notion that one brilliant cross will make your entire case.
That was the first of a handful of useful suggestions that Zol Rainey, senior litigation counsel at Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School, offered up during a presentation on effective cross-examination techniques sponsored by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.
