Last week our friends at The American Lawyer published their annual Pro Bono Scorecard. The rankings track participating Am Law 200 firms based on the average number of pro bono hours their U.S.-based lawyers perform and the percentage of their lawyers who did 20 or more hours of pro bono work last year.

Here’s the somewhat discouraging news: Coming on the heels of a banner year for pro bono in Big Law in 2020, the Am Law numbers say firms did significantly less pro bono work “by all key measures.”
