Wild story pitches are one of the joys of my line of work.

Just last week, my colleague Cheryl Miller, who covers the legal goings on at the state capital in Sacramento, passed along a doozy from her secondary beat, which involves keeping an eye on the legal and regulatory landscape around the cannabis industry. 

The PR flack for a self-proclaimed "new kid on the cannabis block" (that also somehow manages to bill itself as an "old school Bay Area cannabis street brand") invited Cheryl to get "Fat Nugged" with said product.
