The way courts seat juries varies not only from venue to venue but often from judge to judge.
That much was made apparent last week as U.S. District Judges Trina Thompson and Beth Freeman, both of the Northern District of California, discussed the ways they run jury selection in a web program hosted by the Berkeley Judicial Institute.
