Welcome to the latest edition of the Lit Daily’s In-House Litigation Leaders series, where we focus on lawyers making the hiring decisions, shaping the strategies and managing the caseloads at some of the nation’s largest and most innovative companies.

Meet Pete Welch, the senior vice president and deputy general counsel, product and publishing at Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., the video game company that runs the wildly popular Rockstar Games and 2K labels, among others. A veteran of the industry and avid gamer himself, Welch joined the company in 2007 as its fourth lawyer and, over the past 18 years, has seen the department grow to more than 50 lawyers. Prior to moving in-house, he practiced as an associate at IP boutique Morgan & Finnegan and Davis & Gilbert, a firm with close ties to the advertising industry.
