How should lawyers react when judges face unfair criticism?
The Sacramento Valley Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates has developed a rapid-response team of lawyers and retired jurists to address what they see as a growing wave of attacks on the independence of the judiciary. Judges, the organizers point out, are often prevented by judicial codes of conduct from responding on their own behalf when individual decisions come unduly under fire.
