Plaintiffs lawyer Tom Drew says he realized about three years ago, around the time he lost a big trial, that he needed to make some changes.
Approaching age 60, the founder of the Drew Law Firm in Des Moines, Iowa, was hoping to keep practicing law long enough to hit the 50-year milestone. He also had grandkids he wanted to be around to see grow up and he wanted to live an active retirement with his wife—his high school sweetheart.
