Our colleagues at The American Lawyer will put out their annual list of last year’s biggest lateral moves in Big Law next month. We plan, as usual, to highlight the litigators on that list shortly after it is released. But there’s already been enough eye-catching lateral movement involving litigation partners swapping firms in the Am Law 50 in 2025 that we thought it would be worth taking stock.

In particular, let’s focus on the move Elizabeth Weiswasser and Anish Desai made from Weil, Gotshal & Manges to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison; the move Paul Weiss antitrust co-chair Andrew Finch made to Cravath Swaine & Moore and the move made by Allison Brown and five partners at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom to Kirkland & Ellis.
