It may not be as extreme as winning the Powerball, but getting tapped to be a federal judge is its own kind of lottery.

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama nominated Myra Selby and Donald Schott to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and Winfield Ong for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
