Exxon and its allies are already fighting back in the press, and now one Washington think tank may be ready to fight back in court as well.

The Competitive Enterprise Institute—a public policy nonprofit that pushes for limited government and free markets—issued a stern response on Friday to a subpoena it received in connection with a U.S. Virgin Islands climate change probe.
