To the Editor:
As a former attorney for the United States with some responsibility for vaccine compensation issues, I read Jenna Greene’s recent column about the vaccine court with some interest. Although I think her characterization of those proceedings is unfair in some respects, some of her suggestions for reform have considerable merit. The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 has been an amazing success, but as it turns 30, some adjustments may be in order.
