It’s hard to know where to start with all the things that went wrong with the Justice Department’s prosecution of the late Alaska senator Ted Stevens for corruption.
So I’ll start with the personal. Jim Goeke, one of two assistant U.S. attorneys who took the fall for the debacle, went to law school with my husband, where they were friends.
