For Squire Patton Boggs, the end of 2014 delivered significant partnership departures and a drag on profits amid the consolidation of two very different legacy firms.

Stuart Pape, who’d served as managing partner of the old Patton Boggs firm for 14 years until 2011, left on Feb. 4, in another blow to the government-focused institution built by the late Thomas Hale Boggs Jr. Also planning departures are star white-collar litigator Robert Luskin and his team, which could mean a revenue loss of $20 million or more for the firm.
