Federal appeals judges in Washington will travel across town next week for a special session at Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.Catholic will host arguments for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on March 19. The court has been making the rounds to the city's law schools since 2013 in an effort to engage law students and the community.Catholic will be the third local law school to host arguments for the D.C. Circuit. The court previously sat at Georgetown University Law Center and Howard University School of Law.On March 19, Chief Judge Merrick Garland and judges Judith Rogers and Cornelia Pillard are scheduled to hear arguments in three cases: Baumann v. District of Columbia, a police whistleblower case; United States v. Kaufman, a sentencing challenge; and Edwards v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Service, a tax case.
