The American Judicature Society may have closed its doors, but its trademark publication, Judicature, lives on.

A group of judges has paired with professors at Duke Law School to bring back the law journal. The nonprofit organization, which focused on advocating for merit selection of judges and judicial ethics, closed on Sept. 30 after 101 years. The American Judicature Society published its final issue last June, and Duke acquired the rights to the Judicature name and its publication archive about a month later.
