Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Gary Wade will be the next dean of Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law.

Wade has served on the court since 2006 and was elected by the court to a two-year term as chief justice in 2012. Wade, a Democrat, announced this week that he would retire from the bench in September, notwithstanding his election by voters to an eight-year term last year.
