Elizabeth Hennessey-Severson wasn't sure she wanted to be a named plaintiff in a class action against the organization that administers the Law School Admission Test. It might hurt her chances of getting into law school, she worried.

But the aspiring lawyer thought about others like herself who had struggled with disabilities, she said — in her case, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and dyslexia, among others — but were denied accommodations during the test.

“There are so many other people who would benefit from a change in policies,” Hennessey-Severson said.
