A court fight between the sugar and high-fructose corn syrup industries ended on Friday after both sides announced they had settled their dispute over competing advertising claims.

The settlement, which is confidential, comes after 10 days of trial that featured prominent litigators W. Mark Lanier and Dan Webb in federal court in Los Angeles. Lawyers on both sides filed a stipulation to dismiss the case on Friday.
