Drake University on Jan. 5 named longtime professor Jerry Anderson as the next dean of its law school.

Anderson, who will assume the post on July 1, has taught at the Des Moines law school since 1991 and served as an associate dean from 1996 to 2001.

“[Anderson] brings to the position of dean a rich knowledge of Drake Law School, an extensive range of experience, and a deep commitment to the University,” said interim university provost Joe Lenz in announcement of the appointment.
