Each of the above and several of their cross-town colleagues belted and guitar-licked through hits from the 1960s to current pop radio at the Black Cat on 14 Street in Washington, D.C., on Thursday night. The annual Battle of the Law Firm Bands had brought out music club regulars and suit-wearers alike. In all, 18 groups representing law firms played about five songs each.
