What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year of practice? You never get a second chance to make a first impression. I was fortunate to have guidance from my wife, who had been an associate in Big Law, that I had to work tirelessly to build my reputation as a hard worker who partners wanted to work with on their cases.

Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice. In 2014, I was defending a hospital facing nearly $1.5 billion in potential exposure. Before trial in the second phase of the case, I led an effort to file a summary judgment motion that, if successful, would eviscerate the plaintiff’s case. The court gave our client a complete win.
