What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year of practice? The importance of attention to detail and ensuring that whatever task I was performing, even if only a building block in a larger matter, [was] done flawlessly. Colleagues and clients expected that, and it was a critical lesson to learn as a young associate.

Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice. Representing Holocaust survivors and family members pro bono in connection with death camp deportations by the French national railroad. This involved litigation, legislation, state and federal legislative hearings and a complex outreach campaign, culminating in [France's] establishment of a $60 million compensation fund.
