What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year of practice? You’re trying to find creative solutions to difficult problems. It’s easy to get distracted or to chase down issues that aren’t at the heart of the matter. Keep focused on client needs and build from there.
Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice. Guiding a financial services company through a significant hack. We had to navigate regulatory scrutiny [and] communicate quickly with customers. We also had to communicate with the hacker to ensure that customer data would not be further compromised. We addressed it in a way that allowed the company to protect its customers, and move on.
