Former D.C. Superior Court Judge Richard Levie and his colleagues at JAMS won't reveal their favorite movie cross-examination scene, but they agree on one thing: The fictional characters never do it like a lawyer would in real life.

Levie has thought a lot about questioning witnesses at trial and in depositions, and he put together tip sheets to teach his son the technique. He shared with us a list for making an A+ cross-examination, which we've condensed and paraphrased below.
