What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year practicing law? My first case was a landmark civil rights lawsuit to improve access to health care services for low-income children. I learned that effective advocacy requires not only a command of the law and the evidence but also a compelling narrative showing why you are on the right side of justice.

Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice. In private practice, I'm most proud of our team's precedent-setting win for Palantir in its lawsuit against the Pentagon to equip soldiers with state-of-the-art technologies. In public service, I'm most proud of having worked with Sen. Al Franken to pass laws to improve access to mental health services and housing.

Who is your greatest lawyer mentor and what has he or she taught you? Stuart Singer represents everything that is right with our profession. From modest beginnings, he has become one of the most successful lawyers in the country, all while devoting substantial time to public interest work, being a great family man, and never compromising his principles.

Please share a brief key to your success. I grew up in a working-class community in Upstate New York where folks are humble and hardworking and have each other's backs. When my work gets challenging, it's helpful to remember those roots.
