Tell us about your biggest client wins this year. In Kater v. Churchill Downs, the Ninth Circuit ruled, in a first-of-its-kind opinion, that mobile slot machine apps are illegal gambling under Washington law. Since then, Edelson and its clients have worked with The Center for Investigative Reporting and PBS NewsHour to bring mobile app companies' abusive and predatory behaviors to light. In the courtroom, Edelson's clients have secured key victories against multinational gambling firms confirming that those companies can't skirt Washington's strict gambling regulations by offering free slot machine play.
