Tell us about your biggest client wins this year. In 2018, [my] efforts, combined with those of [my] co-lead counsel, in In re Lidoderm Antitrust (N.D. Cal.) resulted in certification of a class of end-payor plaintiffs.

Shortly before jury selection was set to begin, [my] co-leads [and I] secured settlements totaling $104.75 million—one of the largest recoveries by end payors in a federal generic suppression case in more than a decade.

The settlements represent 46% of the highest damages that would have been sought at trial using a "forecasting" model and 67% of the damages calculated using a more traditional "backcasting" model.

What's the best lesson you learned as a young lawyer? Find something you love and make it your niche. But in any case, give every task 100%. Someone will notice.

What's been the most significant change in your practice area and how have you adjusted? The standards for class certification have changed significantly, requiring plaintiffs to present more expert and nonexpert testimony early on.
