Tell us about your biggest client wins this year. Under the guidance of lawyers, staff and partners of the Immigration Justice Campaign, Labaton Sucharow was able to secure three life-changing victories in 2018. The firm helped reunite a Honduran asylum seeker with his 12-year-old daughter after she was forcibly separated from him at the U.S. border. Labaton Sucharow's pro bono team also secured asylum for a Pakistani national persecuted because of his Shia faith and marked for death by religious extremists and a young Ugandan man who had endured 15 years of persecution for his sexual orientation.

What's the best lesson you learned as a young lawyer? You can never go wrong being the most prepared lawyer in the room.

What's been the most significant change in your practice area, and how have you adjusted? Labaton Sucharow has stepped up its efforts in providing pro bono legal assistance to immigrants seeking asylum.
