Tell us about your biggest client wins this year. In [the firm's] children's online privacy cases, the court in allowing the claims to go forward acknowledged, "Current privacy expectations are developing, to say the least … a key issue raised in these cases … [includes] whether a commercial entity that secretly harvests it commits a highly offensive or egregious act." [The firm] settled [its] Google Street View case arising under federal privacy laws prohibiting interception of Wi-Fi communications. The settlement helps ensure privacy in those communications and provides funding to nonprofit organizations working to protect citizens' privacy.

What's the best lesson you learned as a young lawyer? Be prepared, get on your feet, believe in what you are doing. Prepare.

What's been the most significant change in your practice area, and how have you adjusted? [T]he judiciary and society at large appear to now be recognizing the profound jeopardy to our civil rights posed by the pervasive surveillance of our daily lives.
