Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice.  Being part of the team that helped DuPont complete its merger with Dow. It was an incredibly challenging experience—a high-profile transaction involving important industries, key competition authorities around the world, and cutting-edge antitrust theories—and one that gave me the opportunity to work with brilliant lawyers and economists.

What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year practicing law?  Work hard to understand the perspectives and goals of everyone around you.

Who is your greatest lawyer mentor and what has he or she taught you?  Cliff Aronson and Shep Goldfein. They both bring a practical and business-friendly approach to solving client problems and seek out innovative solutions that are tailored to the facts of a case. I learned from both the importance of translating complicated legal and economic principles into clear advice and arguments.

Please share a brief key to your success.  You never know where the best arguments will come from. It's essential that people around you are given a forum for thoughtful disagreement and feel empowered to offer their own ideas.
