Describe your biggest win or accomplishment in practice.  Helping Repsol secure a $5 billion settlement following Argentina's expropriation of its stake in Argentine oil company YPF. This was one of the highest-profile direct expropriations in recent times. Being Argentine myself, I was fascinated with the case. An all-round great experience.

What was the most valuable lesson you learned in your first year practicing law?  It may sound trite, but attention to detail is key. At some point in their careers, all lawyers become obsessed with typos. Nothing makes more senior lawyers lose faith in the quality of your work than typos. You must read, re-read and then proof-read everything before hitting send.

Who is your greatest lawyer mentor and what has he or she taught you?  I've had various great mentors, including Nigel Blackaby, Caroline Richard, Natalia Zibibbo and Gustavo Topalian. They all have very different styles but they have all shown me that success comes from unwavering dedication to the work and your clients and, most importantly, from having fun being a lawyer.

Please share a brief key to your success.  Whenever I start working in a case, I get obsessed with the facts. The more stones you turn, the stronger your story will be. And people (including arbitrators) love a good story.
