Jessie Liu, a former U.S. attorney who led the federal prosecutor’s office in Washington as it inherited cases from Special Counsel Robert Mueller III, is joining Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as a partner in the law firm’s litigation group.

Liu was unanimously confirmed as U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia in late 2017 after serving as deputy general counsel for the Treasury Department and, previously, on President Donald Trump’s transition team.
