Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Friday the Senate will vote on President Donald Trump’s nominee to fill late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat, teeing up a high-stakes, election year battle that could establish a firm conservative majority on the nation’s highest court.

Trump has already selected two justices for the court—Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh—and earlier this month unveiled new additions to his previously announced pool of potential U.S. Supreme Court nominations.
