There are at least two potentially blockbuster intellectual property cases that could be part of the Supreme Court's upcoming term. After that, it's anyone's guess what could make it up to the court.

The justices have already scheduled Google v. Oracle, the titanic copyright clash over the Java programming language, for argument Oct. 7 after holding it over from the previous term. The court has the opportunity to make new law on copyrightability, and the roles of judges and juries in deciding what is a fair use.
