Sujit Raman, a former federal prosecutor in Maryland who most recently served as a top adviser to Justice Department leaders on cyber-related and national security investigations, has joined Sidley Austin as a partner in the firm’s privacy and cybersecurity practice.

Raman arrived at Main Justice in 2017 to serve as an aide to Rod Rosenstein, then the second-ranking Justice Department official, and remained in his role after Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen was confirmed as Rosenstein’s successor.
