Former Judge Michael McConnell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, professor and director of the Constitutional Law Center at Stanford Law School, argued Carney v. Adams, the first Supreme Court case of the current term, Oct. 5.

It was a First Amendment case involving the court system of Delaware. More firsts: It was McConnell’s first high court argument in six years and his first in his capacity as senior of counsel at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, California, which he joined after departing from Kirkland & Ellis in May 2019.
