Some $145 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans were approved for law firms and legal organizations in Washington D.C., which supported the paychecks of employees working at nearly 700 firms based in the capital city, according to recently released data from the Small Business Administration.

Detailed information regarding businesses across the country that accepted Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans was released by the SBA at the beginning of December, following a court order that the agency disclose specific information about the 5.2 million nationwide borrowers who took a collective $525 billion from the tax-payer-funded stimulus.
