Federal prosecutors in Portland on Wednesday moved to dismiss a disorderly conduct case against a former Littler Mendelson associate who was charged amid social unrest in the city over the summer as thousands of protesters took to the streets to confront racism and systemic inequality.

In July, prosecutors filed a misdemeanor information against Zachary R. Duffly that charged him with disorderly conduct on federal property. The government accused Duffly of disorderly conduct on the grounds of the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse.
