Perkins Coie attorney Marc Elias and five other firm attorneys, represented by Kirkland & Ellis partner Paul Clement, are asking the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to reconsider the sanctions it levied against the firm's attorneys for violating ethical rules in a voting case, Texas Alliance for Retired Americans v. Hughs.
