Hogan Lovells has picked up the Federal Aviation Administration’s former chief counsel and acting deputy administrator, as law firms continue to beef up their regulatory practices in anticipation of increased oversight under the Biden administration.

Arjun Garg, who was chief counsel at the FAA and acting deputy administrator for three months starting last November, joined the firm’s transportation and regulatory practice as a partner Monday. He was previously chief counsel at the Federal Transit Administration and a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s federal programs branch. Garg was also an associate at Kirkland & Ellis from 2009 to 2015.
