The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation has scheduled its next hearing for May 27— and, once again, it will be held via teleconference.

The panel’s hearings, once featuring packed courtrooms with lawyers flying into a different city every few months, have not been in person for the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the hearings, lawyers make oral arguments on whether a set of similar cases should be coordinated into a single, pretrial proceeding and, if so, where they should go.
